#6 is a short par 4 that rewards prudent play off the tee.
After another walk past the Legion of Honor museum, the player is faced with a sharply dogleg right tee shot. The hole offers a wide landing zone for a conservative 200-yard tee shot, leaving a blind but otherwise straightforward 100-yard approach into the green. More aggressive tee shots will need to be shaped from left to right and risk OB on both the left and the right for little reward.
With danger lurking behind and to the right of the green, a low, flighted shot toward the front of the green reduces the chance of a lost ball and can bump off the small mound in front of the green to give the player a good chance at birdie.
