Locust Valley golf course closed without warning Tuesday morning, and long-time golfers say they doubt it will ever reopen.

There was a picnic table with a sign attached reading “Sorry we’re closed” blocking the walkway to the clubhouse.

No one from the club’s ownership or management could be reached for comment Tuesday.

The nine-hole course on Locust Street has been an Attleboro staple for as long as local golfers can remember.
