The Domburg Golf Course was designed by golf professional E.C. Warren and was inaugurated in 1914. The current course is still on the same place and is thus one of the oldest in the Netherlands. During the Second World War, the course, on which the Germans had built bunkers and anti-aircraft artillery had built, was bombed by the Allies in 1944.
The bomb craters can be clearly seen from the air. These have been integrated into the design of the course and are mostly used as grass bunkers.
