Hole 12 is likely the most strategic hole on the course. It's a par 4 that require the player to carry a creek on both the tee shot, and the approach.
The tee shot does not need to be long, but it should be controlled. Long shots to the right side of the fairway can kick down the hill and end up in trouble. Conservative shots to the center will likely leave the approach with an even lie, and a straightforward look at the green.
The approach needs to get through another narrow opening over a creek. The green is long but narrow. Getting on without trouble is typically the result of good tactics.
