The 8th is one of the more unique holes on the course. It’s a par 4 with a forced carry approach to the green. The tee shot is about 200m to the landing zone from the back tees, with a fairway bunker on the left about 180m-190m out. The shot seems to favor a standard fade as the the player is advantaged by moving the ball right, but takes the bunker out of play. Any shot 230m or longer will be lost in the valley.
The approach plays over the gap to a well guarded green. A large front bunker favors a wedge from the landing zone, and will make the approach from a more conservative tee shot much more difficult. There is also a back-right bunker that may capture shots that fly too far right when players try to take the shortest distance across the gap.
