Hole 2 is the most challenging hole by stroke index. Many may be surprised as this isn't an especially long hole. The focus here is on the dogleg combine with a water hazard, making the tee shot especially difficult.

The tee shot will need to get past the corner to have a clear shot to the green. There is out-of-bounds, however, all along the right side, along the corner. The will make trying to cut the corner extremely dangerous.

Important distances are:

Minimum yards to round the corner:

Black: 185 to center of fairway, 225 to cut the corner.

Gold: 175 to center of fairway, 200 to cut the corner.

Yards to water hazard:

Black: 250

Gold: 230

The approach can be extremely challenging if the tee shot is less than perfect. Most will have an approach of at least 200+ yards, and even the best tee shots will typically be > 150 yards. The only consolation is that the green is very welcoming to shots that run up.
