The 14th is a challenging par 5. The first thing to not is that the white stakes on the left side do not apply to this hole (they are only for hole 16), so there is little danger swinging away.
The second shot is limited by the creek that flows across the fairway, and getting this distance is key to an easy approach shot.
The approach is much, much easier from the left side. An approach from the left leaves a clear line of attack along the entire length of a long green. The slope of the green here plays directly against the line if the shot.
An approach from the right is challenging. The only clear line is to the lower section of the green, and a bunker sits directly behind that section. The green is about half as deep from this angle, and the slope is much less helpful and may kick the shot into the backside bunker.
Putts will be dominated by the slope of the green. Nothing here will be easy, but very few putts will be too complex.
