Hole 8 Discussion

The eighth begins with a change of scenery. Leaving the Monterey pine and cypress trees, to walk through a small grove of oak trees.

The tee at the eighth plays gently downhill to a strongly left-to-right sloped fairway. Playing to the left side can be dangerous due to the trees left, but left misses can bounce back into play if they reach the section of the fairway shared with the ninth hole.

The approach plays to an angled green, a deep bunker on the right side threatens anything short, but running the ball up is tricky with the slope short of the green.

The green itself is fairly straightforward. It moves mostly back to front, with a bit of contouring around the edges.
