Cartgate (in) plays out, over the cottage bunker, to a wide fairway. Longer hitters, however, will have to deal with the fairway narrowing significantly. In the center of the wide fairway is the Sutherland Bunker, forcing conservative players to choose a left or right route.

The approach must be played over Rob's bunkers on the way to the green, and there is a bunker short right of the green to be concerned with, and the Cartgate bunker beyond the green.
