Probably the most challenging hole on the course. Hole 1 plays uphill, to the left onto a tiny green. There is a hill on the left, and drops off the right side of the hole. Everything kicks right, so landing the ball as close to the hill on the left should kick toward the green. Missing right will send you into thick overgrowth.

The play here is a standard draw if one can manage it, and will be much easier for lefties playing a faded wedge.

Note: Golfers returning to the clubhouse from their completed round will pass directly through the first hole, so keep an eye out.
