The second at Lions is a long par 5 up against Lake Austin Blvd. This out-of-bounds concern, that runs the length of the hole, will define the hole for most beginners. The tee shot allows for a healthy miss to the left side without too much penalty.
Those attempting to reach the green in two will want to note the mid-fairway tree, which stands about 125 yards from the center of the green. Be sure to play to the side of the fairway that will suit your shot shape around this tree into the green
This tree should be mostly out of play for those playing the hole as a true par 5. Unless you get unlucky on the second shot and end up directly behind it, most angles into the green will play under the branches.
The front of the green has bunkers on both sides. The green itself should mostly break toward the river (toward Lake Austin Blvd).
There is a storm shelter just past this hole.
