Hole 16 Discussion

The 16th presents a fairway squeezed by trees. The fairway almost has a hinge just at the landing zone that complicates any strategy. The green stretches out farther left than one would like, and there is a large bunker guarding that side. This rewards a right-to-left approach.

The interesting aspect of the hole is that it forces players to choose off the tee. Play long, and move he ball right-to-left, and the approach will be over the bunker. Play the ball short and end up on the right side of the fairway, and the player will need to move the ball left-to-right into a green that doesn't favor that angle.

It's a strategically interesting hole where a long drive to the center of the fairway will be ideal, but there are no real bail out areas that won't affect the approach.
